uNCOILEd eXposed

“While the word uncoiled represents an uncoiling or unveiling of fresh choreographic talent, emotionally, it stands for much more; the memory of a wonderful human being taken way too soon. uNCOILEd was established in 2012 as a tribute to former student, avid supporter and friend of the company Nicole Fitzsimons, who we lost tragically at the age of 24.

This annual season by AUSTI. Dance & Physical Theatre has since earned its place as a valued platform for company artists to develop their choreographic practice and debut their work. With special thanks to MERRIGONGX and The Nicole Fitzsimons Foundation, this revitalised platform has not only nurtured the choreographic talent of company artists Natalie Cunzolo and Rikia Bell, but supported exceptional artists from the region; Anna McCulla, Callum Mooney, Lisa Maris McDonnell and Saskia Ellis to develop and premiere thought-provoking art that is bold, uplifting, rich and emotive.”
